Scott Foley and Erinn Hayes Lead Prime Video's New Series 'It's Not Like That'

Prime Video has released a trailer for its latest original series, It's Not Like That, featuring Scott Foley and Erinn Hayes in leading roles.

The show centers on Malcolm, portrayed by Foley, a pastor grieving the loss of his spouse while raising three children. Hayes plays Lori, a woman navigating life after divorce with two teenagers in her care. Once inseparable, the two families now find themselves in unfamiliar territory as Malcolm and Lori face the complexities of single life alongside their parenting responsibilities. The series explores whether their reconnection might spark something romantic—or if that's simply not what's happening.

The ensemble cast includes JR Ramirez, Caleb Baumann, Cary Christopher, Leven Miranda, Liv Lindell, and Cassidy Paul.

Co-creator Ian Deitchman, who has previously worked on Life As We Know It and Parenthood, shared insight into the series' title and themes. "One of the reasons the show is called 'It's Not Like That' is because we tend to go through life looking at things through our own narrow lens," he explained to TV Line. "What you're seeing and experiencing is always so much bigger, and if people could embrace life with a sense of grace, the world would be a better place. We are hopeful that it brings that kind of energy."

All episodes will premiere on Prime Video on May 15th.
