Sharna Burgess Opens Up About Past Romance with Dancing with the Stars Co-Star Sasha Farber

Sharna Burgess is reflecting on her romance with fellow Dancing with the Stars professional Sasha Farber and the reasons their relationship came to an end.

The 40-year-old dancer opened up about the past relationship during a recent episode of The Penthouse with Peta podcast, recounting how the two first connected during the 2006 live dance tour in Reno, Nevada.

"He came into my life at a time when I just really needed to remember how to laugh again. There was so much going on in my world in my early 20s," Burgess reflected on their meeting.

The pair's connection deepened during the tour, with their accommodations positioned adjacent to one another. After flirting for some time, Burgess took the initiative to approach Farber's door one evening.

"I think we were together for three years, five years. I don't remember. However long I was on 'Burn the Floor,' we were together for," Burgess said, describing the length of their relationship.

She characterized Farber, 41, in glowing terms, calling him a "great boyfriend" and "such a sweet guy." However, their romance faced a significant obstacle when Burgess relocated to Australia to support her father through health challenges. The geographical separation and family obligations made maintaining the relationship untenable.

The former couple ultimately dissolved their romance via Skype. Despite the difficulty of working together on Dancing with the Stars after the split, Burgess views the breakup through a positive lens. "It ended up leading him to being with Emma [Slater], which was a whole thing that they were meant to have, their journey with each other," she noted.

Farber went on to marry Slater in 2018, though the pair separated in 2022. He is currently in a relationship with Janel Parrish.

Burgess has since moved forward with her own life, beginning to date actor Brian Austin Green in 2020. The couple became engaged in 2023 and share a 3-year-old son named Zane.
