The young star is in contention for seven awards at this year's ceremony. His nominations span several categories: New Artist of the Year (alongside Alex Warren, Ella Langley, Katseye, Leon Thomas, and Olivia Dean), Song of the Year for "Back to Friends," Breakthrough Album of the Year for I Barely Know Her, Song of the Summer for "Homewrecker," Breakthrough Rock/Alternative Artist, Best Rock/Alternative Song for "Back to Friends," and Best Rock/Alternative Album for I Barely Know Her.
The 2026 American Music Awards aired Monday night at 8/7c on CBS, hosted by Queen Latifah. The veteran entertainer returned to the hosting duties more than 30 years after her previous time hosting the show. Taylor Swift led the evening's nominations with eight nods across various categories.
