Spencer Pratt Weighs In on Potential Trump Endorsement in LA Mayoral Race

Spencer Pratt is reacting to word that President Donald Trump may throw his support behind the reality TV star's bid to become Los Angeles mayor.

The 42-year-old candidate posted a video response after a tweet circulated suggesting the 79-year-old president was considering backing his mayoral run. In the clip, Pratt shakes his head and mimics the speculation, with observers noting his expressions resembled Trump's characteristic facial gestures.

City Councilmember Nithya Raman, one of Pratt's opponents in the race, seized on the moment to rally her supporters. "Donald Trump is about to endorse Spencer. Tonight is the fundraising deadline, and we need to raise more to prove that LA doesn't want a MAGA Republican mayor who lives in the Bel Air hotel. Donate NOW," she wrote in response to a Daily Mail article reporting that Trump was considering an endorsement.

The mayoral campaign has drawn celebrity attention on multiple fronts. While comedian Chelsea Handler has made clear she won't be supporting Pratt, other entertainment figures have rallied to his cause. Singer Katharine McPhee appeared at one of his campaign fundraisers, where she performed a rendition of Tina Turner's "The Best" with lyrics rewritten to champion Pratt's mayoral ambitions. During the event, she also criticized his opponents, including current Mayor Karen Bass and Councilmember Raman.

Earlier, Pratt addressed questions about his residence while campaigning, clarifying details about his living arrangements on his property following a house fire.
