Spencer Pratt Explains Hotel Bel-Air Residency While Running for LA Mayor, Denies Previous Airstream Claims

Spencer Pratt's current living arrangements have drawn attention as the 42-year-old reality television personality pursues the Los Angeles mayoral race.
The Hills alum is residing at Hotel Bel-Air, a departure from his previous public statements about his housing situation. According to reports, Pratt explained the hotel stay is necessary due to security measures, noting that the property offers "its own armed security [and] that has become the only option."
Pratt attributed the heightened security needs to the intensity of his campaign. "The reality is the Bassholes and Ramaniacs are a little bit whacko, and since I destroyed them in the debate, and am surging in the polls, they are getting increasingly desperate and hostile," he stated. "I can't talk about specific threats, but that lot is … unsafe now."
The mayoral candidate shared his perspective on social media, using the opportunity to critique current Mayor Karen Bass. "Hey guys, why don't they wanna talk about why I need a hotel in the first place? Karen Bass let my home burn down. Also 6,000 of my neighbors. NBD," he posted.
When questioned about his previous claims regarding an Airstream trailer positioned on the site of his burned-down Pacific Palisades residence, Pratt pushed back. "I have never told anyone I lived there," he told the publication.
However, campaign materials suggest otherwise. In a video posted to his social media account on April 29th, Pratt appears standing in front of the Airstream trailer and says, "This is where I live. They let my home burn down," directly contradicting his recent denial of having made such statements.
