Spencer Pratt is weighing in on the stakes of his mayoral bid for Los Angeles, making clear what would happen if he comes up short.

The 42-year-old reality television personality is competing in the mayoral race against current Mayor Karen Bass and City Council member Nithya Raman. In a video message shared with comedian Adam Carolla and posted to X on Saturday, May 16, Pratt laid out his position on what a loss would mean for his future in the city.

"I'm going to win the lawsuit against Gavin Newsom's state park, and with that money, if I'm the mayor of Los Angeles, I will rebuild," Pratt explained. "If Karen Bass gets reelected or Nithya gets elected, I will be done with trying to live in L.A."

He elaborated on his plans, saying he would redirect funds from both the Newsom state park settlement and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power toward relocating his family. "I'll take that money from the Newsom state park and the LADWP, and I'll go somewhere that my kids will not have to see naked zombies, and I can have the last American dream somewhere," Pratt stated.

Pratt shares two sons with his wife, Heidi Montag: Gunner, 8, and Ryker, 4.

The candidate emphasized his commitment to the city is contingent on his electoral success. "I will not rebuild L.A. if someone else wins the mayoral race," he said, questioning the logic of investing in the city under different leadership.

Pratt's home was destroyed during the January 2025 Palisades Fires. Following the disaster, he joined other Los Angeles property owners in filing a lawsuit against both the City of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.

His political campaign has drawn mixed reactions from the entertainment community, with some celebrities expressing support for his run while others have publicly opposed his candidacy.
