Stagecoach Festival 2026 Evacuated Over Dangerous Wind Conditions

April 25, 2026

The 2026 Stagecoach Festival came to an abrupt halt on Saturday night as organizers prioritized attendee safety during severe weather.

Festival-goers at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California received evacuation orders as high winds swept across the grounds on April 25. The directive came through multiple channels—speakers blared the alert across the festival grounds while urgent messages appeared on stage displays and the official livestream.

"Emergency Evacuation," read the on-screen notice in bright red, instructing crowds to "move quickly and calmly to the nearest exit" as the festival was "postponed until further notice."

The sudden halt sent many attendees heading for the exits, but the situation remained fluid. Within less than an hour, festival organizers posted an update signaling a change in plans.

"The show will resume. We are working to open doors and prep the site for your safety. Stay tuned for updates," the announcement read across social media platforms.

The evacuation disrupted performances scheduled for that evening, affecting sets from Lainey Wilson, Pitbull, Gavin Adcock, and Two Friends.

The wind-related disruption echoed similar challenges faced at Coachella, which shares the same venue. Earlier in April, Anyma's performance during the first weekend of Coachella was scrapped due to unsafe wind conditions. Throughout both weekends of that festival, attendees contended with persistent high winds that damaged campsites and tents in the surrounding area.
