Stanley Tucci Opens Up About His 21-Year Age Gap with Wife Felicity Blunt

Stanley Tucci recently sat down to discuss his relationship with his wife Felicity Blunt and the couple's significant age difference.

During an appearance on Jenna Bush Hager's Open Book podcast on May 7, the 65-year-old actor—known for The Devil Wears Prada 2—reflected on why his marriage to the 45-year-old literary agent has flourished despite the 21-year gap between them.

"It just sort of made sense, even though there is this age gap of 21 years," Tucci explained. "I knew her family, or I knew her sister was one of my best friends. And we just hit it off."

Tucci and Felicity, who is Emily Blunt's older sister, first crossed paths at the 2006 premiere of The Devil Wears Prada. The two later reconnected at Emily and John Krasinski's wedding in 2010.

Following the 2009 death of his first wife Kate Tucci, Tucci found himself uncertain about remarrying. He shares three children with Kate—twins Nicolo and Isabel, now 26, and daughter Camilla, 24.

Reflecting on his connection with Felicity, Tucci noted the paradox of their compatibility. "We had a lot in common, even though we had nothing in common," he said. "It just sort of stuck. But I think she changed my life in the sense that she gave me a sense of security. She gave my children a sense of security. And she's fun. Like, she's fun to hang out with."

Tucci and Felicity married in 2012 and went on to have two children together—son Mateo, 11, and daughter Emilia, 8.

The Oscar-nominated performer also highlighted Felicity's unwavering optimism, describing it as a quality that has positively influenced him. "Her mind is incredible," he shared. "Her capacity to take in information, not just from a book, but from the world and process it, and turn it into something else is just extraordinary. She's pretty cool."
