West Wilson and Kyle Cooke recently sat down for an extended conversation to address the tension that has defined their relationship in recent months.

The Summer House co-stars filmed what Wilson describes as a three-hour discussion more than a month after taping the show's season ten reunion, which aired its first part this week with considerable friction between the two men.

The backdrop for their strained dynamic: Wilson is currently in a relationship with Cooke's estranged wife Amanda Batula. At the reunion taping, Cooke expressed feeling betrayed not only by the romantic entanglement but also by the loss of his friendship with Wilson.

On this week's episode of his podcast Show Me Something with Sophie Cunningham, Wilson revealed details of their recent meeting. "I'm not going to say [we're] good. Nothing's, like, perfect right now, but we talked for like three hours on Wednesday," he explained. "I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say we filmed a scene or not. I don't know if it was for Summer House or for In the City."

According to Wilson, he initially suggested they have an off-camera conversation, but Cooke felt differently about the approach. "I offered. I was like, 'Dude, I'm not trying to get to a better place with you for this f-cking show. I do care about you as a friend, and this doesn't need to be filmed.' Kyle was like, 'This all happened. Our lives have been on camera. Might as well just film it,'" Wilson recounted.

The tone of their discussion marked a significant shift from their reunion encounter. Wilson characterized the filmed conversation as notably more measured and productive. "I'm glad we did [it] because it was obviously awkward and weird to start, but I think we made a lot of progress. It was not a gunfight. It was very calm and peaceful and trying to hear each other and get to a better place," he said.

Wilson expressed gratitude for Cooke's willingness to engage constructively. "I really appreciate him doing that. One, just hearing me out, and two, being nice about it, and three, ending on that note will probably be better for me because it was a much better environment to talk about everything than the reunion was. When the reunion ends, odds are not great for me, so that opportunity, I really appreciate him for."

The reunion itself saw Wilson and Batula discuss the timeline of their relationship during its opening segment. Two additional parts of the reunion are scheduled to air in the coming weeks.

Wilson is set to appear on the next episode of In the City on Tuesday, June 2, alongside Batula and Ciara, according to a preview of the upcoming installment.
