Survivor 48 Champion Kyle Fraser Becomes a Father as Daughter Arrives Early

Kyle Fraser, the winner of Survivor 48, is celebrating the arrival of his first child with wife Maggie. Their daughter, Wyatt, made her entrance into the world on April 26—roughly a month ahead of schedule.
The 32-year-old reality competitor shared the joyful announcement on Monday, May 11, posting on Instagram alongside his wife with photos of their newborn. "Meet our daughter, Wyatt," Fraser wrote. "She decided to surprise us one month early, and we couldn't be happier."
The couple chose the name Wyatt in tribute to one of their "favorite people, her Uncle Wyatt." Fraser reflected on the early days of parenthood, noting that the past two weeks have already brought them "the greatest joy."
The announcement drew well-wishes from Fraser's Survivor family, with congratulations flooding in from alum Cirie Fields, Kamilla Karthigesu—who appeared in seasons 48 and 50—and Rick Devens from Survivor 50.
Beyond his Survivor 48 victory, Fraser also competed in Survivor 50, where he sustained a significant injury during filming. In February, he opened up about the frightening incident involving his Achilles heel.
"I had one night at Ponderosa [the sequester area for Survivor contestants]. I got there, Jenna [who was the first eliminated contestant] was there. We had a lovely night together. I spent the following morning there and I was out back to the United States immediately," he explained.
The quick turnaround was intense. "We flew to L.A., I got to see my brother in the airport lounge for maybe 30 minutes, and then I was back to New York within, I think, 32 hours. I went to the doctor immediately, got checked out. They confirmed that it was a full tear in the Achilles and that I needed surgery. And I believe I had surgery probably four to five days later, because you have to get it done as quickly as possible."
