SZA and Nicholas Hoult Lead New Voice Cast for 'CoComelon: The Movie'

The highly anticipated theatrical adaptation of the beloved children's franchise has tapped a star-studded roster of talent to bring new characters to life.
Grammy-winning artist SZA, actor Nicholas Hoult, and SNL cast member Sarah Sherman are among the fresh voices joining the animated film, marking a significant expansion of the project's ensemble. The announcement also includes comedians and performers Ike Barinholtz, Ego Nwodim, Josh Johnson, Matt Friend, Cristo Fernández, and Rhys Darby in supporting roles.
The production maintains continuity with the original series through returning cast members Connor Esterson (JJ), Camden Brooks (Cody), Olivia London Leyva (Nina), and Aerina DeBoer (CeCe), who will reprise their iconic roles.
While plot specifics remain under wraps, the film is positioned as an "epic adventure" that expands the world viewers have come to know, introducing JJ and his companions to new characters and experiences beyond their established universe.
Universal Pictures will distribute the film when it arrives in theaters on February 19, 2027. Director Kat Good, whose background includes story artist work on the Kung Fu Panda franchise, helms the project.
CoComelon's journey from YouTube phenomenon to global entertainment powerhouse spans streaming platforms, live shows, music releases, and merchandise. The franchise has spawned multiple spinoffs including CoComelon Lane, Cody Time, and Nina's Familia, cementing its status as one of the most recognizable children's properties worldwide.
