Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen Sit Out Season 5 of 'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives'

April 21, 2026

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is gearing up to resume production on its fifth season, but two familiar faces won't be part of the action.

Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen are sitting out when the Hulu reality series returns to filming, according to reporting from Tuesday evening. The decision comes amid an ongoing legal situation between the former couple, stemming from domestic violence allegations that surfaced between them. Paul was cleared of charges by the district attorney's office last week.

The tension between the exes has already rippled through their other television commitments. Paul's upcoming appearance on The Bachelorette has been shelved, while Mortensen's storyline on Vanderpump Villa season three was largely removed from the final edit, though he still made brief appearances in DadTok episodes without significant screen time. He did, however, continue to appear on the YouTube series Unwell Winter Games.

Despite their absence, the show has plenty of material to work with moving forward. Other cast members remain on board, and there's no shortage of storylines to explore—including the recent divorce filing between cast members Jessi Draper and Jordan Ngatikaura.
