Spencer House Joins FX's 'Very Young Frankenstein' Pilot Alongside Zach Galifianakis and Kumail Nanjiani

Spencer House, known for her work on Tell Me Lies, has joined the cast of an upcoming FX comedy pilot that's already generating buzz in the industry.
FX greenlit the Very Young Frankenstein pilot on Monday, May 18, drawing from Mel Brooks' beloved 1974 film of the same name. The project carries significant creative firepower behind it, assembled by the team responsible for the critically acclaimed series What We Do in the Shadows—Taika Waititi, Garrett Basch, and Stefani Robinson.
House appears in the pilot episode alongside an impressive ensemble cast that includes Zach Galifianakis, Nikki Crawford, Kumail Nanjiani, Dolly Wells, and Cary Elwes. Robinson penned the episode while Waititi helmed the directing duties.
Nick Grad, President of FX Entertainment, spoke to the project's appeal: "Very Young Frankenstein blends inspiration from the fan-favorite movie with the inventive, irreverent spirit that has defined FX comedies over the years, making this a completely original take on the classic story. In the hands of FX veterans Stefani, Taika and Garrett, alongside the iconic Mel Brooks, we know that fans will have as much fun watching this series as we're having making it."
The pilot represents one of four projects FX has picked up and ordered to series within the past year. The network's other recent greenlit series include a Snowfall spinoff; Seven Sisters, a family drama featuring Elizabeth Olsen, J. Smith-Cameron, and Cristin Milioti; and Disinherited, created by Better Call Saul co-creator Peter Gould and starring Victoria Pedretti and Kiera Allen.
