The Devil Wears Prada 2 soundtrack has officially dropped, showcasing a collection of original compositions written exclusively for the highly anticipated sequel.
Lady Gaga emerges as a standout contributor with three tracks on the album. Her song "Shape of a Woman" plays during a crucial moment in the film, while she also collaborated with Doechii on "Runway" and recorded "Glamorous Life" for the movie's closing credits.
The film features a plot point involving Gaga's character receiving a call from Miranda Priestly, portrayed by Meryl Streep, requesting her participation in a performance at Runway Magazine's Milan Fashion Week event. Despite personal tensions between the characters, Gaga agrees to perform after Nigel, played by Stanley Tucci, warns that she'll miss out on a future Runway cover if she declines.
Rising talent Sienna Spiro contributed the original song "Material Lover" to the soundtrack, while newcomer Izzy Escobar provided her previously unreleased track "Evergreen Avenue."
