Will Ferrell Takes On Golf Comedy in Netflix's 'The Hawk'

Netflix has unveiled the teaser trailer for its upcoming comedy series The Hawk, featuring Will Ferrell in a leading role as a professional golfer chasing one last shot at glory.

Set to premiere on July 16, the ten-episode series follows Lonnie Hawkins, the golf world's top-ranked player in 2004 who now finds himself struggling to reclaim his former dominance. Facing both physical limitations and personal doubt, Hawkins becomes determined to complete golf's Grand Slam by winning one more major tournament—a feat he believes will mark the greatest comeback in the sport's history. His resolve is tested by those closest to him, including his ex-wife and his son Lance, who has emerged as golf's newest star and questions whether his father's time has truly passed.

The ensemble cast includes Molly Shannon, Jimmy Tatro, Fortune Feimster, Luke Wilson, Chris Parnell, Katelyn Tarver, David Hornsby, Gabriel Hogan, and Aida Osman.

Ferrell took a hiatus from production last fall following an on-set injury but has since returned to complete filming. The actor is also slated to host Saturday Night Live for the sixth time on May 16, with Paul McCartney serving as the musical guest.
