'The Lincoln Lawyer' is heading toward its finale. Netflix has officially confirmed that the acclaimed series will wrap up with its fifth season, drawing from Michael Connelly's novel "Resurrection Walk."

The forthcoming 10-episode season will see Manuel Garcia Rulfo reprising his role as Mickey Haller. According to the season's logline, Haller's life takes a dramatic turn when Cobie Smulders' character Emi—his previously unknown half-sister—arrives seeking his help to free a wrongfully convicted woman. The season explores themes of family secrets and blood relations as Haller pursues a challenging habeas petition to overturn a six-year-old murder conviction. As he uncovers corruption and deception, his trusted circle—including Lorna (Becki Newton), Izzy (Jazz Raycole), and Cisco (Angus Sampson)—faces their own high-stakes cases. Fresh off clearing his own name in Season 4, Haller now confronts what he views as a significant miscarriage of justice while navigating the complexities of both his chosen and biological families.

The final season will feature an array of talent across recurring and new roles. Neve Campbell, Krista Warner, Angelica Maria, and Gigi Zumbado return in recurring capacities. Joining the cast are Chris Diamantopoulos, Corbin Bernsen, Diane Guerrero, Iker Garcia, Patty Guggenheim, Richard Cabral, Steve Howey, and Teresa Maria. Additional cast members include Amy Aquino as Judge Olivia Alcott, Angela Trimbur as Felicia, Elpidia Carrillo as Muriel Perez, Nate Corddry as Jimmy Finch, Tricia Helfer as Brooke Miller, and Keir O'Donnell as DDA Lucas Peralta.

Co-showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez shared their perspective on concluding the series. "All good things must come to an end, but thankfully sometimes how they come to an end is up to us," they stated. "From the very beginning, the mission was always not only to tell the story of Mickey Haller and his compatriots, but also to give that story a proper conclusion. And while it is of course bittersweet, it's also an amazing opportunity to bring this adventure to a close and perhaps chart a new course for some of our characters into the future."

The pair expressed gratitude to Netflix and A+E Studios for enabling them to conclude the series on their own terms. "We are immensely grateful to Netflix and A+E Studios for the opportunity to land this plane the right way. But most of all, we are grateful to the fans all around the world for watching and supporting the show. We promise you, we are right now building a final season that will provide the satisfying finale Mickey Haller deserves. We can't wait to share it with you!"

The fifth season renewal was greenlit before the fourth season even aired.
