Amazon has officially locked in a release date for the next chapter of its blockbuster fantasy series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.

During the 2026 Amazon Upfront, the streaming giant announced that season 3 will arrive this November. The show has become a cornerstone for Prime Video, drawing more than 185 million viewers across the globe and serving as a major catalyst for new Prime membership subscriptions.

"From the very beginning, this series has embodied the scale, ambition, and cinematic storytelling that define Prime Video's biggest global series," said Peter Friedlander, Head of Global Television at Amazon MGM Studios. "The extraordinary response from millions of fans around the world has made it clear that this journey through Middle-earth continues to resonate, and that momentum has only grown heading into Season Three."

The epic fantasy drama stands as one of Prime Video's highest-performing and most-watched properties to date, commanding a devoted international audience. Season 1 holds the distinction of being the largest TV series premiere in Prime Video history, while season 2 secured a spot among the platform's five most-watched returning seasons ever.

The upcoming third installment will delve into the War of the Elves and Sauron at its peak, as the antagonist races to forge the One Ring—a weapon designed to grant him dominion over all Middle-earth and bind its peoples to his command.

New episodes of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will premiere on November 11, 2026.
