Katherine LaNasa Joins Action-Comedy 'Mister' Alongside Walton Goggins and Chloe Grace Moretz
Katherine LaNasa is making the leap from television medical drama to the action-comedy arena with her latest film project.
The 59-year-old "The Pitt" actress has been cast in the upcoming film "Mister," which is being directed by Wade Eastwood, according to Variety.
LaNasa joins fellow newcomers to the project Pom Klementieff, Matthias Schweighofer, and Micheal Neeson, rounding out a cast that already includes Walton Goggins and Chloe Grace Moretz.
The film follows a man (Goggins) who awakens in an unfamiliar house drenched in blood and must piece together his true identity while evading contract killers seeking revenge. His adversaries span a broad spectrum—from former romantic partners to his closest friend. To escape, he joins forces with his estranged daughter (Moretz), who has similarly become entangled in the dangerous world of contract work. The two must reconcile their fractured relationship to have any chance of survival.
Filming commenced last month in Madrid and the Canary Islands, with the project serving as the directorial debut for Eastwood. The stunt coordinator has previously contributed to major action franchises, including "Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning," "Jumanji: The Next Level," "The Mummy," and "Interstellar."
In other recent news, LaNasa has also joined the cast of Hulu's upcoming limited series "Count My Lies."
