Supriya Ganesh Reflects on Fan Love Following Her Exit From The Pitt

Supriya Ganesh is processing the wave of affection from viewers following the announcement that she's departing The Pitt ahead of the show's third season, set to premiere on HBO Max next year.
The 28-year-old actress, who portrayed Dr. Samira Mohan across the first two seasons of the medical drama, became a fan favorite during her time on the series. Her departure shocked audiences when the news emerged last month.
In a recent conversation with Variety, Ganesh discussed how she's coped with the public reaction to her exit. "I tried to take a step away, because it's just been so surreal," she explained. "The day that news broke, I saw my name was trending on Twitter, and I was like, 'Gotta put the phone down and go outside.' So, I haven't really been keeping track of it, to be honest, but I've been getting such sweet, lovely messages from people, and I've honestly just been surprised at how much people love the character and saw so much of themselves in her, and that's what I'm going to miss."
Ganesh served as a series regular on the show, and her character's connection with audiences clearly resonated deeply. Beyond her departure, Noah Wyle has addressed the reasons behind the casting changes, with two other characters also experiencing reduced screen time for the upcoming season.
