The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Set to Resume Production on Season 5
Production is moving forward on the next chapter of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
Hulu has confirmed that cameras will roll again on season five of the popular reality series, as reported by Deadline. The announcement comes after filming came to a halt more than a month ago due to domestic violence allegations involving cast members Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen.
The exact timeline for when production will restart has not been disclosed. At the time filming paused, sources indicated the cast and crew were waiting for developments regarding Taylor's situation to unfold before resuming work.
The good news arrived last week when Taylor was cleared of all domestic violence charges, clearing the way for the show to move forward.
The ensemble cast includes Jen Affleck, Jessi Draper, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Matthews, Miranda Hope, and Whitney Leavitt, alongside appearances from their partners. All of these women earned promotions to executive producer roles in the previous season. Demi Engemann, who was previously a main cast member, transitioned to a recurring role in season four after limiting her participation and declining to participate in confessional interview segments.
Beyond the Taylor and Dakota situation, other developments have unfolded in the cast's personal lives during the production pause. Jessi Draper's husband Jordan Ngatikaura filed for divorce, creating additional tension within the group.
