'The Testaments' Season 2: Which Cast Members Are Returning and Who's Exiting

The season one finale of The Testaments dropped on Hulu, and viewers are already curious about what comes next for the Handmaid's Tale spinoff.
Following the show's renewal for a second season, creator Bruce Miller sat down to discuss the creative direction moving forward. He emphasized the urgency of maintaining the show's momentum while the cast remains age-appropriate for their roles.
"We're very excited and deep into figuring out what to do for season two. The writers room has been working for a while. Our younger actresses are younger. And no matter how much money you put into it, they're not going to stay younger. Time does go on, and we very much want to stay on track to make this show as regularly as possible. I think our cast is astonishing, and I want to make sure we use them while they fit the part," Miller explained in an interview with THR.
When asked about potential time jumps in the narrative, Miller noted that significant leaps forward remain unlikely for the upcoming season. He reflected on his creative process, saying, "I have designs and desires to jump ahead a little bit, maybe some day, some season I will be able to. But 30 seconds later has been my usual. I've started with designs of 30 years later, and then it's been 30 seconds."
As the show prepares for its next chapter, 13 cast members are expected to reprise their roles, while two characters will not survive into season two.
