Tia Mowry Opens Up About Boyfriend Javon'e Williams: 'He's a Wonderful Human Being'

Tia Mowry is giving fans an inside look at her new romance.

The 47-year-old actress made her relationship with Javon'e Williams Instagram official roughly a month ago, and she recently sat down to discuss what makes him special. During an appearance on SiriusXM's Today Show Radio, Mowry painted a picture of her partner's background and accomplishments.

"His name is Javon'e, and he is a teacher. He also has his master's. He studied in France. He's an artist. He's an avid reader," Mowry shared.

When asked about their favorite activities together, the actress revealed a thoughtful routine they've established. "Some of my favorite things that we do together is we will go to a Buddhist temple, and we will meditate. We meditate every Wednesday. He will read to me, like, at night before we go to bed. And the books that we're reading is about co-parenting," she explained.

The co-parenting focus makes sense given their blended family situation. Williams has two children, while Mowry's kids from her previous marriage are ages 15 and 8—a boy and a girl. Mowry praised Williams' character and emotional awareness, noting his thoughtfulness stands out to her.

"He is just… He's, he's, he's a wonderful human being, and, I mean, he- some of the things that he just says, like, is, 'How can I support you?' His emotional intelligence is amazing," she said.

Mowry also revealed that she deliberately set an intention for this relationship through a manifestation practice. Last year, a friend suggested she create a list of desired partner qualities while listening to music and lighting candles. She took it a step further by incorporating meditation and neuroscience principles into the process.

"I would literally close my eyes, and I would meditate about my partner, and I would meditate about the feeling that I would want to feel," Mowry explained. "And the feeling was my nervous system being safe."

The actress emphasized that she needed time to discover herself before pursuing a new relationship. "I really wouldn't have known what I wanted three years ago. I really needed to sit in, like, solitude and, like, learn who I am first, um, before I even figured out what it, what it was and what it is that I want," she reflected.

This marks Mowry's first public relationship following her 2023 split from ex-husband Cory Hardrict, with whom she shares son Cree, 15, and daughter Cairo, 8.
