The 30-year-old Oscar-nominated actor made an unconventional choice on Monday, May 4, when fashion's biggest night unfolded uptown. Rather than joining the glittering crowd at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Chalamet was spotted courtside at Madison Square Garden, enthusiastically supporting the New York Knicks as they took on the Philadelphia 76ers in Game One of the NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs Second Round.

Dressed casually for the occasion in a blue and black striped shirt and jeans, the actor kept his focus on the action on the court.

The same evening, his longtime girlfriend Kylie Jenner made her presence known at the prestigious fashion event. The 28-year-old beauty mogul commanded attention on the Met Gala red carpet in a striking gown designed to create a nude illusion, while also unveiling a bold new look with bleached eyebrows.

Just the day prior, the couple had been photographed together in New York City, holding hands as they joined Jenner's family at a Broadway performance.

The two had also attended a Knicks game the week before, and were later seen dining out with another high-profile couple.
