Tom Hardy's Future on 'MobLand' Remains Uncertain as New Claims Emerge About His Status

The question of whether Tom Hardy will continue with 'MobLand' for a third season has taken another turn this week, with conflicting narratives continuing to swirl around the actor's involvement with the Paramount+ drama.
Earlier in May, reports indicated that Hardy had been let go and would sit out a potential third installment. The complication: season two hasn't even aired yet. That same week, additional reporting surfaced claiming Hardy had kept his castmates waiting on set and had experienced tension with the show's producers.
Now, a new development has emerged. Someone connected to the production told Variety that the situation looks different than previously reported. "Tom was not fired, the door is not closed for Season 3 and things are being worked through creatively," the insider revealed.
The show itself follows two organized crime families locked in a conflict with serious consequences for their operations and personal lives. Its ensemble cast features Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson, Geoff Bel, Daniel Betts, Lisa Dwan, and Emily Barber.
Season two has wrapped filming, though Paramount+ has yet to confirm when viewers will see it. The first season launched in March 2025 to strong reception from both audiences and critics alike. In November, Hardy was photographed on the set of season two during production.
