Tracee Ellis Ross Set for Broadway Debut in 'Every Brilliant Thing'

Tracee Ellis Ross is bringing her talents to the Broadway stage for the first time.
The 53-year-old, six-time Emmy-nominated actress will star in the one-person play "Every Brilliant Thing," with performances beginning July 7 and running through August 9 at the Hudson Theatre in New York City.
The revival currently features Daniel Radcliffe, who opened the show on March 12 and will perform through May 24. Radcliffe received a 2026 Tony Awards nomination for his performance. Mariska Hargitay will follow, taking the stage from May 26 through July 5.
Co-writer Duncan Macmillan praised the casting in a statement, saying: "I've been a fan of Tracee's work for a long time and knew her quick-wit, intelligence and emotional depth would be the perfect fit for Every Brilliant Thing. We are beyond thrilled that she has chosen to make her Broadway debut with us this summer. We can't wait to welcome her to the Hudson Theatre, and for audiences to experience her unique take on the play."
The production centers on a man reflecting on his life and the moments of hope that sustained him through difficult times. What makes the show distinctive is its interactive element—audience participation shapes each performance differently, ensuring no two nights are identical.
Tickets are available for all three performers' engagements at the Hudson Theatre.
