Travis Kelce Playfully Responds to Meryl Streep's Stiletto Challenge

Travis Kelce is weighing in on his unexpected exchange with Meryl Streep.

During the latest episode of New Heights, the 36-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end addressed the interaction when his brother Jason brought it up. Streep, 76, had made a quip about the football star during her Devil Wears Prada 2 promotional appearances, specifically when discussing her experience walking Milan's streets in stilettos.

"I'd like to see Travis Kelce do that," the legendary actress remarked, issuing a playful challenge.

When asked about the apparent "beef," Travis made his position clear: "Is there Meryl Streep beef? I hope she doesn't have beef with me. That's a powerful woman right there. I'm a fan of Meryl Streep. I don't have any beef with her."

Travis responded to Streep's comment with characteristic humor, saying: "Oh, Meryl, you have no idea how good I am at walking in heels, okay?"

Jason then encouraged his brother to put his money where his mouth is. Travis initially played along, noting one practical obstacle: "We're gonna have to find some size 14 heels first." When Jason suggested having them custom-made, Travis reconsidered.

"I'll give credit where credit's due. I don't think I can do it, Meryl…I'll let you have it," Travis conceded.

His brother wasn't about to let him off the hook easily. "What are you, a quitter? You're a quitter? You're just gonna give up to Meryl Streep? You're a world-class athlete, Travis!" Jason teased.

Travis pushed back on the quitter label, explaining his reasoning: "No, I just don't think I'm gonna make it to Italy and walk in stilettos!"

Though he ultimately declined the challenge, Travis left the door open for a future attempt. "I'll tell you what, Meryl, if I ever find myself in Italy on that cobblestone, I'll try and find a size 14, and we'll put it to the test," he said, suggesting the possibility of taking her on someday.
