Trisha Paytas Calls James Charles 'Evil' and Her 'Number One Enemy' on Latest Podcast Episode

Trisha Paytas isn't mincing words when it comes to James Charles.
During a recent episode of her Just Trish Podcast, the 38-year-old content creator delivered a pointed assessment of the 26-year-old beauty influencer, branding him the "number one enemy" of her show and a "nasty person." The remarks surfaced as James Charles faced backlash over his handling of a Spirit Airlines worker who reached out to him for financial assistance via direct message.
The podcast discussion took shape after Paytas revealed that her co-host Oscar Gracey had applied to work as James Charles' content creator assistant. As the two reflected on the application process and Charles' related video content, Paytas began unpacking her perspective on the influencer.
"We forget how awful James Charles is…like truly the worst person, like a horrible human being," Paytas stated. "He's like an awful human being…he's literally evil, but then we forget all this stuff."
She escalated her criticism further, declaring: "I hate James Charles. I actually do. I actually despise him more than any other creator."
Paytas drew a stark contrast between Charles and other controversial figures in the creator space, noting her willingness to work with personalities like Colleen Balinger, David Dobrik, and Shane Dawson. However, she positioned Charles in a different category entirely.
"I'll collab with everybody before James Charles. Like, he's awful," she explained. "At least these other people try some humanitarian efforts, right? Like, Colleen did a fundraiser for kids for her birthday, and David tries to give people money and cash. They try to balance it out."
In her assessment, Paytas suggested that while other creators may have character flaws, they demonstrate some effort toward positive action. She characterized Charles' approach as fundamentally different.
"But James actively does the opposite," she continued. "He's like, I know I've been caught and admitted to, like, texting underage boys. I know I've been awful to people. I know I scream at people, but then, like, just doubles down, triples down, and it's just, like, shows himself to be actually, like, inhumane."
Paytas concluded her remarks by suggesting that Charles' behavior carries consequences, emphasizing what she views as a moral obligation to support others.
"I'm not the karma police, but it doesn't end well when you are someone who is just so vile and nasty and just thinks that like you shouldn't help your fellow human out," she said. "He could have just not responded…I think that's kind of like his duty, to help people once in a while."
She ended with a final statement: "James, you deserve nothing. You deserve nothing. Like how you got this far is like a mind blown to us all. We're all kind of confused by it, but we're like, 'Okay.' You deserve nothing of what you have…you're a nasty person."
The Spirit Airlines worker has since shared what appears to be an apology message from Charles.
