Twenty One Pilots Grace AMAs Red Carpet Ahead of Performance and Award Nominations

The 2026 American Music Awards kicked off Monday evening in Las Vegas with Twenty One Pilots among the first arrivals on the red carpet. Band members Josh Dun and Tyler Joseph posed for photographers at the MGM Grand Garden Arena ahead of the evening's festivities on May 25.

The duo will take the stage for a performance during tonight's broadcast and arrive as nominees in two categories. They're competing for Best Rock / Alternative Artist alongside Deftones, Linkin Park, The Marias, and Sleep Token. Additionally, their album Breach is nominated for Best Rock / Alternative Album, facing off against Sleep Token's Even in Arcadia, Sombr's I Barely Know Her, Tame Impala's Deadbeat, and Zach Bryan's With Heaven on Top.

The 2026 AMAs air tonight at 8/7c on CBS with Queen Latifah hosting—marking her return to the role after more than 30 years. The evening features an extensive lineup of musical performances and celebrity presenters. Taylor Swift leads the nominations with eight nods across various categories.

Tune in to see all the action unfold throughout the night.
