Tyla Turns Heads in Stunning Valentino Gown at Met Gala 2026

The "Water" hitmaker brought serious style to fashion's biggest night, commanding attention as she arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the 2026 Met Gala on Monday, May 4 in New York City.
The 24-year-old singer opted for a custom Valentino design crafted exclusively for her by Creative Director Alessandro Michele. The striking gown featured a long satin skirt with a generous slit, paired with an ornamental basque cinched at the waist and adorned with silver rhinestones. The tulle component showcased long sleeves and a plunging V neckline, complete with all-over fringe detailing and silver sequin embroidery throughout. She finished the ensemble with Valentino Garavani Révélé pumps.
This year's Met Gala centered around the museum's Costume Art exhibition, which investigates "the centrality of the dressed body" through various representations and interpretations of the human form drawn from the institution's vast collection. The theme for attendees was "Fashion is Art," and the evening was helmed by co-chairs Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
The annual celebration continues to draw hundreds of A-list celebrities to what remains fashion's most prestigious event.
