Wagner Moura has entered negotiations to become the latest addition to the forthcoming 'Ocean's 11' prequel, taking on the role of the film's primary antagonist.

The 49-year-old Brazilian actor, an Oscar nominee, is being courted for the ensemble cast of the project, which is being developed with significant star power behind and in front of the camera.

Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper are already locked in for the production. Beyond their acting roles, both are involved in the project's creative oversight—Robbie is producing alongside her husband Tom Ackerley, while Cooper is set to direct and produce. The two stars are slated to portray the parents of Danny Ocean, George Clooney's iconic character from the original trilogy.

Details surrounding Moura's specific character remain confidential at this stage.

Robbie offered audiences a glimpse into the film's narrative during a virtual appearance at CinemaCon in Las Vegas several months back. "Before Danny Ocean ever stepped foot in Vegas, two masterminds taught him everything he knows — his parents," she explained. "You'll see them in their prime, and in our new movie, pulling off an epic heist at the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix."

The Monaco Grand Prix setting isn't merely creative choice—Bradley Cooper was spotted at the 2026 Historic Grand Prix of Monaco in late April, conducting on-location research. During his visit, he documented vintage race cars from the era the film will depict, building his vision for the project.

Moura's film slate continues to expand, with additional projects in development including 'The Last House.'
