We Were Liars Season 2 Adds Younger Versions of the Sinclair Family and a Mysterious New Addition

The second season of We Were Liars is expanding its ensemble with a slate of fresh casting announcements that bring both familiar faces from the past and an intriguing newcomer into the fold.
Adapted from E. Lockhart's bestselling novel, the Prime Video series centers on Cadence Sinclair Eastman and her close circle of friends—the Liars—as they navigate summers on their grandfather's exclusive New England island. The Sinclair clan represents American aristocracy, defined by their striking appearance, generational wealth, and unbreakable connections. Yet when a fateful incident transforms Cadence's world, secrets begin to surface among those closest to her.
The new cast members will explore the backstories of the Sinclair dynasty across different time periods. Josh Dallas takes on the role of young Harris Sinclair, a composed and industrious man devoted to his daughters and his family legacy. Despite commanding a media conglomerate, Harris remains overshadowed by his charismatic yet impulsive older brother.
Parker Lapaine portrays young Carrie Sinclair during the summer of 1999, capturing a sensitive, intelligent young woman navigating between her expected path to Harvard and the temptation of an unexpected romance with a mysterious arrival on the island.
Peyton List plays young Tipper Sinclair, the graceful matriarch of the family's Kennedy-style dynasty. A woman skilled in social graces and wealth management, Tipper's polished exterior begins to crack when family turmoil forces her darker side into the light.
Elysia Roorbach embodies young Penny Sinclair, a charming and popular figure concealing internal struggles with body image and anxiety beneath her carefully constructed persona. The character's carefully maintained exterior fractures when someone sees past her carefully constructed facade.
Madison Wolfe takes on the role of young Bess Sinclair, a 16-year-old dreaming of songwriting and independence. Eager to gain acceptance from older teenagers, particularly three college-age boys staying in the guest house, Bess pursues their approval with consequences she'll later regret.
Costa D'Angelo joins as Pfeff, a new character described as a college student from New England carrying an air of mystery. His arrival on Beechwood Island proves transformative for the Sinclair sisters, despite his initial intentions.
A release date for season two has not yet been announced.
