Viral "Salad Man" from White House Correspondents' Dinner Revealed as CAA Agent Michael Glantz
The identity of the man who captured widespread attention for calmly eating salad while chaos erupted around him at the 2026 White House Correspondents' Dinner has been revealed.
Video footage from the tumultuous event showed an older gentleman remaining composed at his table, eventually tucking into his meal as other attendees scrambled under tables and rushed toward exits following a shooting at the venue.
Michael Glantz, a talent agent with Creative Artists Agency who represents Wolf Blitzer among other clients, is the person featured in the viral clips. Speaking to TMZ on Sunday, April 26—the day following the dinner—Glantz expressed appreciation that people found a moment of levity amid an otherwise "horrific moment."
The agent explained that he felt secure given the law enforcement presence on-site, which is why he remained seated and observed the unfolding events rather than fleeing. "Not every day you see something like that go down," he remarked.
Glantz noted that his primary concern during the incident was the welfare of his client Wolf Blitzer, who was knocked down in the commotion. He characterized the viral attention surrounding his salad-eating as "silly" but indicated he was unbothered by the internet's fixation on his composed demeanor.
