Whitney Leavitt Announces Her Final Season on 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives'

Whitney Leavitt is setting the record straight about her departure from the hit Hulu reality series.

The 32-year-old cast member took to Instagram with a video addressing speculation surrounding her exit from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. An original member of the MomTok group featured in the show, Leavitt previously stepped back before returning for season three, which she later revealed was partly motivated by an opportunity to compete on Dancing With the Stars.

In her announcement, Leavitt clarified the timeline of her departure. "I am finishing season five, so yes, I will be in that season, but also yes, it will be my last," she stated in the video.

Reflecting on her journey with the program, Leavitt shared that while acting and film work had long been her goals, the reality show came into her life unexpectedly. "The reality show just fell into my life organically, and I said yes to it," she explained. "It's definitely not the path that I had envisioned in my mind to get to where I am today, but I wouldn't change a thing."

She spoke warmly of her relationships with the other cast members, describing both the highs and lows they've shared together. "We have been through so much together, even more than what you've seen," Leavitt noted, adding that those bonds would remain meaningful regardless of what happens next.

Leavitt emphasized that this departure differs significantly from her previous breaks from the group. "The times I've walked away from quote unquote MomTok, it came from a place of anger and frustration, but this time is significantly different because I'm leaving with gratitude," she said. "I feel content. I feel like this is a chapter that's closing in my life, and honestly, I believe that's how it was always meant to be."

Since her appearance on Dancing With the Stars, where she was paired with Mark Ballas and reached the semifinals, Leavitt has been actively building her entertainment career. She was cast as Roxie Hart in the Broadway production of Chicago, and during a recent extended run in the musical, she performed alongside Ballas, who played Billy Flynn.

Looking ahead, Leavitt expressed enthusiasm about her next ventures. She's set to star in an upcoming holiday rom-com, a project she learned she'd booked while filming season four of Mormon Wives. "I'm ready for the next chapter, and I cannot wait to share with you guys what's next," she concluded.
