Whitney Leavitt Opens Up on Her Evolving Faith and Departure from 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives'

Whitney Leavitt is getting candid about where her spiritual journey stands these days.

The 33-year-old cast member of Hulu's The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives sat down on the Just Trish podcast this week to discuss her current relationship with the Mormon faith. She explained that while she identifies as Mormon, her practice differs significantly from her upbringing.

"I'm a modern-day Mormon," she shared with host Trisha Paytas. "If someone asked me my religion, I'd say I'm Mormon, but not in the traditional sense." She revealed that she hasn't attended church regularly for quite some time, despite growing up with weekly services as a standard practice.

Among the changes she's made to her lifestyle, Leavitt no longer wears the religious undergarments that are part of traditional Mormon practice. However, she indicated that she and her husband Connor have discussed potentially returning to church attendance, noting that she values the experience. "Culturally, I wouldn't say I'm your typical Mormon," she emphasized.

The reality star also provided an update on her time with the Hulu series. Season five will mark her final appearance on the show, and she confirmed that filming isn't quite complete. "We just need to finish out the season, which will finish soon, and then that'll be my last one," she said.

Connor revealed that the concluding season will consist of just five episodes. "They're having everyone go back to basically do interviews, wrap up a couple of things," he explained. "I think that'll be a very abbreviated season considering all the things that happened publicly."

While stepping away from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Leavitt has hinted that she has other television opportunities on the horizon.
