Ronda Rousey is stepping back into the octagon for a historic Netflix showdown. The 39-year-old MMA legend and Olympic bronze medalist will face off against fellow fighter and actress Gina Carano in the main event on Saturday, May 16, marking the first MMA broadcast to premiere on the streaming platform. The event takes place live from Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.

As the mixed martial artist prepares for this milestone moment, her personal life remains a steady anchor. Rousey shares her life with Travis Browne, a former UFC competitor whom she married in Hawaii back in August 2017.

Browne, who retired from professional fighting in 2017, has deep ties to his home state. Born and raised in Oahu, Hawaii, he's spoken openly about his upbringing in the islands. "I was born in Oahu, Hawaii, and for me it was a typical childhood, but I was a little rough around the edges," he previously shared with UFC. "We had very little supervision growing up, so we were able to do pretty much what we wanted to do as kids. Growing up in a Hawaiian household that's a toddler's dream."

He continued: "It's like you're being raised in a village with all your aunts and uncles, and your cousins are always around, so there's always that family feeling you get."

The couple has built a full household together. Rousey and Browne are parents to two daughters: La'akea Makalapuaokalanipo Browne, 4, and Liko'ula Pa'uomahinakaipiha Browne, 1. Browne is also a father to two sons from a previous marriage, Keawe and Kaleo.

Life on the ranch keeps the family grounded. The couple operates Browsey Acres, a working ranch in Oregon where they raise cattle, chickens, and other animals. Their social media frequently features updates from farm life, and they've built a local business selling meat products from their property. They also maintain a second ranch in California.

For now, their plans center on Oregon. The family intends to remain at Browsey Acres while Browne's sons finish high school. After that chapter closes, they're eyeing a move back to Hawaii, where they hope to establish a dojo. Rousey shared their vision with People in April 2024, explaining that they want to "teach the local kids for free and stuff like that."
