New details have emerged regarding Tom Hardy's departure from the Paramount+ crime drama MobLand.

According to insiders, Hardy's exit followed a series of on-set incidents. A source revealed that the actor "refused to come out of his trailer for hours at a time," adding that he "kept the cast waiting" — a move characterized as a power play that affected Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, and other ensemble members. The source suggested that keeping such accomplished actors waiting could be professionally damaging.

Beyond the trailer incidents, Hardy reportedly had conflicts with the show's producers.

The series, which premiered in March 2025 to strong reception from both audiences and critics, centers on the collision between two organized crime families whose conflict threatens to dismantle empires and lives. The ensemble cast features Brosnan, Mirren, Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson, Geoff Bel, Daniel Betts, Lisa Dwan, and Emily Barber.

Season two has already wrapped production, though Paramount+ has not yet announced a premiere date. The network has not confirmed whether the show will receive a third season renewal, though industry sources indicate that if greenlit, filming would commence in September.

In November, Hardy was photographed on set during season two production.
