William Daniels and Bonnie Bartlett Set the Record Straight on Their Decades-Long Marriage

William Daniels and Bonnie Bartlett are providing fresh perspective on their marriage as they approach a major milestone: 75 years together since tying the knot on June 20, 1951.

The pair recently sat down with The Daily Mail to address remarks Bonnie made during a 2023 interview, when the 96-year-old actress discussed having a "little bit of an open marriage" in the early days of their relationship with her 99-year-old husband.

According to Bonnie, the arrangement was never formally discussed. "There was never any discussion as to what we were going to do," she explained. "It was non-spoken. Bill and I never sit down and make rules. We never sit down and talk about these things. We just don't. We just live our lives. And if he's away for a year, he's away for a year."

The Emmy-winning performer, celebrated for her roles in St. Elsewhere, Little House on the Prairie, and Home Improvement, made clear that both partners pursued connections outside their marriage at different times. "So there have been times, yeah, both of us, on both sides," Bonnie shared. "We never got unhinged, but our lives did go in different directions occasionally."

William, known for his iconic role as Mr. Feeny on Boy Meets World, countered with an emphatic statement about his devotion. "I wouldn't be with anyone else in my life than this woman sitting next to me," he said of Bonnie.

The couple's enduring partnership was recently highlighted when Boy Meets World alum Danielle Fishel appeared on Dancing with the Stars last year. During Dedication Night, William made a special appearance as Fishel performed a routine dedicated to him.
