Wyndham Clark Opens Up About Meeting Model Girlfriend Emily Tanner

Wyndham Clark is getting candid about his relationship with model Emily Tanner, revealing the sweet origin story of how they first connected.

The 32-year-old golfer recently captured his second U.S. Open championship on Sunday, June 21 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club. In a conversation with Us Weekly, he opened up about his romance with the 31-year-old Tanner, whom he and the public learned about earlier this year when they made their relationship official at the Masters in April.

According to Clark, the introduction came courtesy of a mutual friend. "I was with a buddy of mine, and one of his friends was there, and he was like, 'Hey, man, I got this girl that is a good friend of mine and she's recently single and she's accomplished,'" Clark explained. "He said all of these nice things. I go, 'Oh, cool, can I see a picture of her?' He shows me Emily, and I go, 'No way, I've had a crush on her forever.'"

The two went on their first date in San Diego, and Clark noted they've been inseparable ever since. With more than 740,000 Instagram followers, Tanner has become central to Clark's life beyond the fairways.

"She's a huge part of my success," Clark said of his girlfriend. "We joke and call her my at-home caddie because she helps me with everything off the course. She just makes me so happy. We have so much fun together. When I'm away from golf, I'm able to decompress and not think about it because we truly just enjoy each other's time. She's amazing. She makes everything stress-free for me. She's my biggest supporter, and she's always out there watching me."

Clark emphasized his contentment across both his personal and professional spheres. "I'm just happy and satisfied where I am off the course. I'm in love," he shared.

Following his U.S. Open victory, Tanner celebrated the achievement on Instagram, posting a photo carousel with the caption: "The most deserving. You did it!! Love you so much @wyndhamclark"
